Long Retractable Soot Blower of Boiler
A long retractable soot blower is used to remove ash in the boiler superheater and reheater area(also used for economizer). During soot blowing, the soot blower lance tube and nozzle head rotate and extend into the boiler flue to blow the ash on the heating surface, the effective blowing radius is around 2 ~ 2.5m. A long retractable soot blower can be used in the flue gas temperature up to 1300℃. After finishing soot blowing, the sootblower lance tube will retract back from the boiler to avoid being broken by high-temperature flue gas.
During the operation of the boiler, soot and coking on the heating surface are the most common phenomena, so it’s very necessary to install a soot blower at the power plant. At present, steam soot blowers and sonic soot blowers are the two main types of soot blowers installed in the power station boiler, steam soot blower is the most widely used and the most effective one.

LMD-PSSL Long retractable soot blower is commonly used in various power station boilers, industrial boilers, biomass boilers, waste heat recovery boilers, and refuse incineration boilers. Different environments have different design requirements for soot blowers, we will choose appropriate soot blower lance tube materials according to the flue gas temperature and corrosion conditions to meet the plant site requirements. Our commonly used lance tube materials are T91, 15CrMoG, and 310S, most of which are alloy steel and high temperature resistant stainless steel, the material is purchased from Baoshan iron&steel company, which is the biggest steel company in China.
How does the soot blower finish soot blowing? Soot blower connects the steam by mechanical or pneumatic open the poppet valve on the sootblower, when the steam enters into the feed tube, at the same time, sootblower lance tube is rotating and moving forward, the steam injected through the nozzle to finish the ash blowing. We will design soot blowers according to the drawings and parameter requirements provided by customers to achieve the best blowing effect. The travel of the LMD-PSSL soot blower is about 2~11 meters, which is designed differently according to different boilers.
